One of Turkey’s famous TV chefs prepares a good range of Turkish mezes, salads and fish dishes here. It’s a pretty modest-looking place located at the bottom end of the busy fish market. It’s much less crowded and noticeably less noisy than the meyhanes (taverns) lining the riotous Nevizade Sokak just around the corner. There are a few tables set out in the passage from which you can absorb the authentic fish market atmosphere and observe passers by. Upstairs, there is a large room with an outdoor terrace, perfectly suited to groups. The service is friendly and it’s very popular with the local ex-pat teaching population.
