Tike is basically an upmarket kebab joint. It’s packed both on weekdays and at weekends with the casually chic, upwardly-mobile elite of Levent and beyond. The service from waiters in stiff bow ties depends very much on what mood they’re in, and the most notable thing about the décor is that it lacks charm. However, the big attraction here is the marinated lamb kebabs with the fat trimmed to within an inch of its life, resulting in a succulent dish which is melt-in-your-mouth tender. These are served with thin pide bread and garnished with parsley, mint, and the unusual herb "rocket." Tomato and onion salads are also set out on the table. For pleasant summer dining, sit out on the large garden terrace. A set menu is available for $23. There is another location on the Asian side at Kasim Ozalp Caddesi 54 in Saskinbakkal, Kadıköy.
