This is a busy wine bar-cum-restaurant with a cool, clean European feel. It overlooks the pedestrian traffic on İstiklal Caddesi, and is located next to the Çiçek Pasajı (Flower Passage) and the Balık Pazarı (Fish Market). If you’ve had enough of travelling by the time you arrive in Istanbul, just sit back and circumnavigate the whole world in one meal with the outrageously international menu. Start with a Japanese sashimi appetiser, then head off to northern Italy for mushroom ravioli in a delicious creamy basil sauce. Finish up in France with a sinful chocolate mousse. The menu here changes quarterly. There is a good choice of wines and Şarabı is one of the few wine bars in town selling imported ales and lagers.
average cost: EUR 45
