This festival celebrates Canberra's cultural diversity with theatre, performances by local and overseas artists, gourmet food and displays. The spectacular Balloon Fiesta is a unique event with balloons from all over the world and Australia. Watch them take flight each morning at sunrise to float over the city. The festival begins with a parade featuring floats, ethnic dancers, bands and community groups. The parade finishes with a food and dance spectacular in Civic Square with food, songs, music and dance. Admission is free.
